I really enjoy your breakdown of these classic movies, and pointing out the cultural manipulation of the Leviathan. That was the start of their quest for total control of society.

In about 1960 the U.S.government created a tort so all Americans HAD to purchase Auto Insurance,BUT! There were no good faith guarantees required from Insurers. In 1970 the WOD was another law infringing on our rights.( war on drugs). Now,under the guise of yoing people's online 'safety' Digital I.D. is coming. Yet,all cell phones and computers ALREADY have an internal Parental Control App. So,once again," our" government will coparent our youngers bc we are not trusted. Not with auto responsibility, not with drugs nor with parenting. The noose tightens until we stand up and DO NOT COMPLY.

The point about institutional synchronization is sharp. The fact that school, retail, and family all delivered identical warnings without coordination shows how deeply the cultural shift had already occured. I remember watching this film as a kid and thinking the adults were just being overprotective, but the real insight is that they weren't conspiring, they'd just internalized the same risk-averse framework. Ralphie's fantasies being the only space where competence was allowed is a detail I never noticed before, and it makes the ending even more pointed.

In real life the actions of Leviathan are solely about control. Their MO is not as begnign or even as seemingly benevolent as just safety.

If they cared about our safety they wouldn’t have opened the floodgates into this country for every kind of third world deviant imaginable, just for one example, or try to take away our guns.

No. They are all about keeping those they view as just dumb voters under their thumb in order to attain and maintain power at all costs.

That’s what they are ALL about.

I just have to think about all of the omnipotent moral busybodies who would be out of work if it were not for the Nanny States deep pockets. If we call instigation's by parties of interest investigations, and we re-frame invasions as interventions and we re purpose the word slavery to mean prisoner of someone else's opinions then all the "newspeak" makes perfect sense.
